John A. Steyl is a fourth generation artist of Dutch descent, born and raised in Southern California. With his vivid imagination and an extraordinary sensitivity to the world around him Steyl has created a bold work uniquely his own. His art reflects a strong influence of music, particularly jazz; introspective periods of extensive travel; and his journey of personal turmoil...and triumph.

Steyl’s art includes a collection of abstract ink drawings, each expressing powerful relationships between design and illusion, which are recognized for their intricacy and imaginative detail.

His original reverse-process acrylic on glass works are a fusion of vibrant color, depth and movement, valued both for their display beauty and their versatility as functional art.

His work has been accepted for national exhibit and by numerous local galleries, where he has exhibited as the solo featured artist...
